backs Lethal Weapon with ITV sponsorship

Trade directory is preparing to hit prime time television after landing a deal to sponsor a new ITV drama.

The firm is backing Lethal Weapon, the new US series based on the classic film franchise, for its 18-week run when it launches this Friday, March 3.

It stars Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford as a pair of mismatched detectives working for the LAPD. The original films starred Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.

Founder and CEO of Checkatrade, Kevin Byrne, said: “In recent years we have invested a lot of time and attention into branching into new areas through sponsorship. This television sponsorship is proof of it succeeding. The programme has been a huge success across the pond so I am really looking forward to watching it become an equally great success over here.”
