Window Lock

A wooden or metal casement window is normally hinged on one side and fastened to the fixed frame via a cockspur lock or lever. A locking bolt can be attached to the opening part of the wooden framed window. Cut a small mortise in the frame to accommodate the bolt. Screw the coverplate into position. The method is similar for bolts suited to metal casement window.
