Using undiluted washing up liquid, gently work into the stain with your fingers, rinse well with cold water. Wash as usual. Any remaining stains can be sponged with warm water containing a solution of detergent and a few drops of ammonia.
Acetate or rayon should be dry-cleaned. White or methylated spirits can be used on other fabrics.
