The Makita JR001GZ is powered by a 40v brushless DC motor which maximises battery runtime and requires no maintenance. A two-speed electronic gearbox (Low 0 - 2 300spm and High 0 - 3 000spm) plus variable speed trigger allow for fast and precise sawing of most materials and constant speed control increases the power to the motor when under load. Tool-less blade change is quick and easy and a special ejector mechanism expels blades without having to touch them which is particularly handy if a hot blade is in the clamp. Other features include a tool-less adjustable shoe with swivel hinge electric brake and a rubber sleeve on the front end to reduce friction heat. Supplied without batteries and charger.
