It just happened today. Heating is working fine.

Conventional boiler system with Cylinder.
S Plan. (when water on does the rads in the bath also.) When heating on does the other rads also.
Potterton Kingfisher 2
Groundfos pump.

Cylinder has an immersion heater. I have checked the 2 way valve and put that to manual but still no heated water. I have not turned on the immersion heater in case you guys get me to do some stuff and I can tell if its worked or not.

if the boilers not firing up then that tells me either
programmer, cyl stat, valve are faulty
if you come back and give answers not sure
then i can't guess what faulty you have to check them
your their im not.

Ok just checked the cyl stat - that doesn't seem to be getting power.
All fuses etc are OK though. Was slightly rusty when undoing cyl stat.
I think the programmer is ok. Lights up, button press ok etc.
Even if valve faulty I guess the manual override would have proved if it was.

So I guess its the power to the cyl stat. Anyway I can bypass it?

if the cyl stats not got power then its the programmer not sending it.
even if the light does come on don't mean it's sending power.

hmmm. I didn't try it with the hot water button on. Let me give that a go. Damn have to take it apart again.

are you taking the p*ss or what ?
it might be getting power but if it don't send power to valve then valve won't open and boiler won't fire up.

lol you are funny. :D The stat is set at 65c and the water is stone cold so turning it down is not going to help - well I don't think so.

The valve is on manual... is that not going to help?
