I am tiling my floor and putting down a heating mat

Am a bit confused..... as the instructions on the booklet and on here differ.....

The booklet suggests laying tile cement and then laying mat and allowing to dry, then

While other people suggest laying mat then laying mat, cementing and tiling on top

Can anyone confirm the best- most reliable method to get this right?

best way is to tape your mate to the floor, trowel out your adhesive with a PLASTIC spreader/serator, be careful not to damage the heating elements, try a circuit test once you have lain the mat to ensure it is working correctly.
once again BE CAREFUL witht he elements

Thanks :) , what do you use to tape it down with and finally, much adhesive do you tend to use to cover the mat

lay your ufh(mat) out on your floor(make sure its not running under any whites(pedastal/wc etc)

check with multimeter.

either use a glue gun or tape(gas tape ect) to fix to floor.

once laid check the ufh with a multimeter.

put a 2part slc over it using a plastic trowel(as above dont nick the wires)
then if in future you need to lift a tile you wont/shouldnt damage the ufh.

check again with multimeter.

once slc set,use a flex floor adhesive that is specced for ufh systems.
when tiling floor check with multimeter every 1m2.

grout.

get spark to connect ufh up.

get the beers out...

forgot to ask what type of floor is this ?..concrete/wooden..?
you will want to put thermal boards down,to help with the heat up time.
