Hi there
I purchased a second hand range cooker from ebay, and having cut the kitchen up to make it fit I have hit a problem. We have our neighbours dad, who is Corgi registered coming to fit the gas bayonet hose to the cooker.
However he says that the cooker is missing the1/2' BSP socket (?) connector- which having looked at photos on the net should be attached to the pipe on the back of the cooker. I just have the pipe with a bare thread, so nothing for the hose to screw on to.
The previous owner who I bought it from says his plumber cant find it, and doesnt remember taking it off.
My neighbours dad says that this connector will be a specific size for the cooker- and that the only way I will find one is from a scrapped cooker?! Is this true?
Can I not just buy another? I have tried to find something on line but everything seems to lead me to the bayonet wall connection which isnt the right bit obviously.
The picture looks like an over long nut- does anyone know what I am talking about, and where I might be able to get one?
The cooker is a Flavel Finesse 100 FN10FR.
Please help- I have a kitchen in bits, and a christmas dinner relying on the cooker being in!
Thanks
