Water pipe snapped off , could do with some advice

Does anyone know what all these pipes are, the broken one is the hot water. The capped one in view is the cold im guessing and the one that goes into the other cupboard to the far wall and up is also capped, is this a dead gas line?

Those self sealing caps work well, but make sure they are pushed on fully and there is a ring at the end where pipe goes in, this ring needs pulling outwards as far as it would allow, (around 2 mm) locking the cap on, if need comes to remove it, this ring is pushed back in and the cap withdrawn, some come with a small plastic ring that fits in the 2mm slot made when this ring is pulled as far out so that you cannot accidently push this ring back in, as it could then dislodge and come undone.

comes in 15mm, 22mm and even other sizes. any plumbers shops sell it and is just called a push on cap.

Go to bed Mike ffs! At least you won't be able to post complete bol1ox like this when you are asleep;)

Thanks for the quick response guys. Could you tell me if i just need to cut the pipe and stick this on the end? http://www.screwfix.com/p/conex-cuprofit-stop-end-22mm/44728
Will that hold the pressure?
I have a feeling there is more to it than this. Cheers

What is also strange in the product details it says this thing weighs 24Kg?!

Found my pipe cutter also http://www.screwfix.com/p/tube-cutter-3-28mm/49428

Sorry if i cant post links, i will remove if i have to.

I'd personally use an end feed cap or a compression stop end but if you want to use the pushfit...

can someone tell me if a speed fit Stop End will do the job? and could you possibly link me to screwfix/toolstation/B&Q.

nor can i what

Cap off a gas pipe.
Only a Registered Gas Installer should do this. The law states a 'competent' person, but that's a whole other can of worms.
By asking if you can use a pushfit stop end for gas, I'm pretty sure your not competent to do it... No offense meant.
