Hi all,

Bought an Ikea knife magnet to go on the wall in my kitchen. Drilled two holes and screwed some screws I had into the wall - quickly realised I'd messed up and the screws weren't holding. Long story short I ended up with two lovely holes and a knife magnet back in its packaging.

Just wondering if anyone could help an idiot to resolve this problem?

Arty picture of a hole included.

If you use the above product do not over tighten the screw as this could cause the fixing to rotate within the hole.
They do both plastic and metal versions of his product ,have used lots of these without any issues.
Is the wall stud or is it dot and dab ?
If dot and dab avoid the plaster dots if possible

No idea - how would I find that out?
run a strong magnet (like the knife rack!) over the wall and see if it wants to stick at regular intervals (those will be the screws holding your plasterboard to the wooden studs.
