No, it would have to be work that affects substantially the wall. Superficial work like chasing and (edit)drilling is excluded.Thank you, that is something interesting.
Does that mean when I chase the joining wall for new electrical sockets and cable runs that I need a PWA?
Also does that mean the new extension I have built along the boundary is a shared wall?
Walls along boundaries might be party walls or might just be trespassing. That would be a question for garden law website.
