Slight issue, Installed Honeywell Accenta G4 in 2013 with Honeywell AG8 sounder. Having carried out walk teats on numerous occasions alarm seemed to work well including the occasional accidental setting off. Daughter forgot to disarm last week when walking downstairs. she entered code and alarm stopped on internal sounder, but external sounder would not disarm. Continued to ring for at least 5 mins. Then sounder stopped on its own. Could this be related to battery being nearly 5 years old.? or maybe something else.. Thoughts please !!! Not too bothered as alarm works as desired , just cant turn it off when i want to. Cheers JB

Probably not ....is it wired correctly?
Alarm has worked and tested flawless for 5 years, No wiring changes been made in that period of time,, just strange the bell now continues for 5 mins after a trigger and disarm.. Even been stable during recent power cuts..

Well little update.. Thanks to all for comments, decided to test bell from control panel,, forced bell test and the disabled,, bell continued to sound. Ear defenders ready unscrewed cover from bell, and pushed screw anti tamper fully back ,, bell stopped. seems anti tamper was the culprit. cleaned out token spiders replaced cover while bell sounding ensuring screw was uber tight, bell stopped .. tested force bell at panel on and off,, all working fine.. Cherrs for guidance , much appreciated.
Can't be wired correctly as it would be showing bell tamper .....!
Strangely i triggered bell with cover of by releasing anti tamper.. after disarm panel did show bell tamper trigger.
Still not correct ...

If the tamper switch was open , then you would never be able to arm the alarm , so either it was bypassed or not connected ... that's why ....
Not sure what happened then ,. Nothing has changed , all I did was take cover off , clean and activate anti tamper a few times and cover back on ,, now arm/disarm still works fine ,. Trigger sets off bell and internal Sounder and disarm stops both imediately .. ie no over run on bell. Maybe anti tamper switch is a tad dodgy ..
