There just isn't a sustainable way for 8 billion people to live in harmony with the planet. It's just not possible for us to live without the additional energy, fertiliser, plastics, movement of goods and countless other benefits provided by fossil fuels that the human race requires to stay alive.

Honestly it isn't fixable, so therefore isn't worth caring about. The planet will definitely survive, it just needs to rid itself of its human being infection and will eventually do this.

Not much I can do as an individual.

But I avoid as much plastic as I can, never use carrier bags ( a recent change), buy local when I can, use any vehicle as little as possible ( a lot less than I used to) and use as little electricity and gas and water as I can.

All very small steps, hardly noticeable locally let alone world wide.

But its better than doing nothing, and if everybody did just the same, or more, it would help.

I think you'll find we're technically still in an ice age, but an inter glacial period where the glaciers are retreating to the polar ice caps. Come to think of it, it's unusual for this planet to have ice caps at all.

I have family abroad, so not knocking it on the head. But we now fly less often but stay for longer, so have tried to cut that too.

Id like to think it was the same as everybody else. But reading the comments in here, we both know it's a lot more than some do, or are prepared to do
