Well, that saved £20....
Last time out, I managed to break the hinge, on the Whale water inlet, on the caravan. The cover latches the actual part with the pipe in place, against the pressure of water, rather a clumsy system, but it is what it is....
Replacement water inlet, of correct model, fitted with contacts for the 12v pump - £40. Model version without contacts for pump, £20. Difference in plastic moulding and etc., none. Ordered up the £20 version, and will simply transfer contacts across from the broken item.

Been out kitchen shopping. Our current kitchen was from Magnet & Southern in the year 2000. Solid wood cupboards but a bit dated now. Went back to Magnet. Given them the sizes and sent photos of our existing kitchen and are going back to sit down and see some ideas on Saturday, if all ok (as well as price) they’ll come round and measure up accurately before ordering. Called in to Wren when we left Magnet but nothing really took our fancy in there.

I had a nice crepe once made at our table when I was on a cruise. I wanted to try to recreate it when I got home but Mrs Mottie forbade me from even trying.Cannot fault their crepes though

Next, I sold a couple of bits on eBay and purchased pre-paid Royal Mail labels, only I was a bit too quick clicking the section that said 'up to' 5kg when the item was nearer to 6. Had to buy again and I’ll try to get my money back later if I can.

I had a reminder come through for the tax on one of the cars and for some reason, I realised with a that the mot had expired on my bike. I checked it and saw that it had expired in October! I quickly made a booking and run it to my local bike place for a test. It failed! Oh the shame. It failed on the rear brake pads being just down to the metal. I realised that when they put it on the brake tester - performance was fine but I could just hear it as the engine wasn’t running and I wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time. It’s done less than 1400 miles since the last test. I got a 'DO NOT DRIVE UNTIL REPAIRED (DANGEROUS DEFECT)' notice on the ticket. I went and bought a set on my way home and if it wasn’t for the fact we are going out in a minute for an appointment with a kitchen designer, I could have taken it back today. Funny thing though, the tester that failed it (quite rightly) didn’t advise on the steering head bearings like he has for the past two years (they haven’t got better or worse) and after I’d bought the pads, when I got home and looked at the certificate he had put down the front brake instead of the rear. Definately the rear as he said I'll have to take the exhaust off to get to them. I already knew that as this will be the 4th set of pads I will have had on it during my ownership.

Loading up the new MH ready for our first trip, bikes are on board, plenty of wine, satellite dish fully functional after downloading the app, discovered the old hose connector is not compatible with new tank, £35 for the correct one, that can wait
