Converting bath shower to rain/drench? shower

You have not mentioned your hot water source. The design water flow rate might not be met from a combi boiler. Best to check the spec of proposed shower head and before buying it and to check the dynamic flow rate of your bathroom hot water supply.

Could be a few issues there! I was asked by this nice lady about 90 y.o. why her shower was not very good. I showed her that her shower was designed for 14 litres per minute. But her combi boiler could only deliver about 9 litres per minute. And even less in winter when the incoming water...

    Peugeot brake pedal rubbers?

Yes thanks, those look just like my feet. Those cars mostly seem to have sold to women. Mine has a 2 litre engine and can accellerate quite nicely if I need to get away from anything.

Sewage / drainage run to septic tank leaks. Best option to fix?

I wonder how he will find the leak. My method would be to pull a plunger slowly down it until the water flow ceases.

Thanks for that. Seems as if I should take a copy to Hassan in case he is worried about it.

Sewage / drainage run to septic tank leaks. Best option to fix?

And what is the soil and how deep? My parents used to live in a house on sand and about 80m from the septic tank and I had some experience of pipework in that situation. Cheapest quote was obtained by finding a man sitting in a JCB doing nothing who wanted to earn a little bit extra.

Sewage / drainage run to septic tank leaks. Best option to fix?

It may be bog standard to you but it could be anything to me. I think that pipe designed for underground is usually UPVC and orangey in colour. It costs less that £10 per meter but then a little extra is needed for transporting it to site and jointing it. And of course testing it before...

Stuart Turner Pump - Replace Couplings

I would expect they come with the flexible pipes and the manufacturer chooses 15mm because they are far cheaper and better adsorb vibration.

    Peugeot brake pedal rubbers?

Well the car is designed to be a bit sporty and the pedals have holes in them. I did have another of the same model and neither of them came to me with rubbers! But how could I get a manufacturers statement that they are not designed to have rubbers?

Sewage / drainage run to septic tank leaks. Best option to fix?

That price sounds completely out of touch with reality. If the soil is peaty or sandy and easy to dig and the pipe about 700mm deep then I would have expected about £30 per meter to dig a new trench. Then the cost of new pipe perhaps £35 per meter. But still not £183 per meter. But it could...

    Mira Advanced Atl tripping

I am guessing that the unit is overheating because the flow rate is too slow as you are using it on a tank fed supply instead of a mains pressure supply. In addition it may be slower still due to dirt in the filter which is quite likely when suplied from a loft tank. However you seem to imply...

Stuart Turner Pump - Replace Couplings

I do not see why not. But the 22mm ones will be stiffer and give less isolation from vibration. So I might be suggesting that whatever you are coupling to should be well fixed close to the connection point.

    Peugeot brake pedal rubbers?

I have a 2004 Peugeot 307cc petrol car. I have ordered two sets of pedal rubbers from different on line sellers but both have sent exactly the same rubbers which are both too small. Can anyone suggest how i can get the correct ones? I need an MOT soon. How is the tester likely to react to no...

No hot water/heating plus leak on Myson MPE222 two port valve

When a two port valve opens it closes a switch which brings on the boiler and the pump. As neither of yours bring on the boiler then it sounds as if there is a problem with the boiler. As the first diagnosis requires measuring voltages then a meter and skills to use it safely are essential.
