I am just replacing a ceiling fan in bedroom, the one i took off had 4 wires coming from it - 4 wires come from ceiling - (red black earth and brown)the new fan only has 3 wires, (live neutral and earth) I have wired the black, red and earth to the fan but i now have a brown wire left over...

Hi. I have a single switch in my bedroom that has 6 wires going to it in the box, it operates 2 lights in the bedroom. there is also a pull switch near bed that will also turn both lights off. how can i operate the lights on ceiling independantly - would fitting a 2 gang switch do this...
