Got an ideal E Type CF Series 2 CF40/60. GC code is 41 397 39.
Had a brief look and can't seem to find anywhere that has a boiler t/stat for it. :(
Can anyone recommend somewhere?

Checked the temp t/stat today and it does work however there is lots of popping and banging going on before it gets any where near cutting in.
Everything seems to be working OK but for the noise.
What could it be?

Yes I am referring to the temp control t/stat. The boiler model I have is an Ideal Standard E Type series 2 conventional flue gas boiler. Model number CF.40/60. Quite a dinosaur i know :shock:

Bit of a yarn this with a combination of things happening at the same time.
Had a new radiator fitted around a year ago and almost immediately after I found water intermittently flowwing out of the C/H header tank pipe.
Called a friend a friend of a friend who is a central heating engineer...
I was first going to check the system for trapped air i.e. bleed the radiators off as previously suggested and sufficient inhibitor.
Is there a way of checking if it is the a leak in the hot water cylinder to confirm this is the problem? :cry:

It drips out more when the heating is on.
I get the occasional drip when the heating. This seems to suggest that the level isn't getting much higher when off.
I have just had a new larger capacity radiator fitted in my extension as the last one was pathetic. It may be a coincidence but I now have a problem with the header tank overflowing.
