I am a reluctant diyer, but I will have a go at most things, when pushed (I don't trust anyone to do a job better than me). I am an electronics engineer by trade, but I have built my own solar panels which supply most of our hot water in the summer and give useful amount of heat on sunny days in winter. I also fitted our condensing boiler and kitchen, and built all the fitted bathroom cupboards and fitted the sanitaryware.
I have serviced my cars in the past, but I only do oil changes and basic maintenance now (I have a mechanic I trust).
I can usually fix any electrical appliances, from washing machines to TVs.
