Fitting a switch over a worktop to isolate a socket that will be below the worktop with a washing machine/dishwasher plugged in. Do you guys have any preference as to the switch having a neon on or not?
It's my daughter's house not sure what she is putting down, think it may be laminate. She hates the thought of having the rather skanky 70's vinyl underneath it!
Any ideas on how best to get vinyl flooring up, it's been glued down over the entire kitchen. Tried warming it with a blowlamp but it just burned, would a heat gun be better? Is it down to just putting your back into it and scraping every last piece? Kitchen floor is concrete by the way.
Funny you should mention that, the last house we lived in before this, all the junction boxes had bare earth wires wrapped around them and twisted together. I never felt quite happy about it but as it was rented I left them alone.
