    Switch with or without neon

Perhaps you could confine your comments to help on electrical issues rather than parenting!

    Switch with or without neon

Not to mention being out all the daylight hours with no-one actually knowing where you were, or swings across rivers were the rope broke (happened to me). Exploring derelict houses and old mills. Ee they don't know they're born :sneaky:

    Switch with or without neon

Yes, but I doubt my daughter would approve, being a 'modern' mum. In my day it might have involved 'impact therapy'.

    Switch with or without neon

There is a child in the house who does like to do such things! Which prompted thought of a switch in the first place.

    Switch with or without neon

Hi Fitting a switch over a worktop to isolate a socket that will be below the worktop with a washing machine/dishwasher plugged in. Do you guys have any preference as to the switch having a neon on or not?

    Vinyl flooring

Daughter doesn't like it and I think wants to put down laminate, not keen on having it underneath. It's one piece.

    Vinyl flooring

It's my daughter's house not sure what she is putting down, think it may be laminate. She hates the thought of having the rather skanky 70's vinyl underneath it!

    Vinyl flooring

Any ideas on how best to get vinyl flooring up, it's been glued down over the entire kitchen. Tried warming it with a blowlamp but it just burned, would a heat gun be better? Is it down to just putting your back into it and scraping every last piece? Kitchen floor is concrete by the way.

    Cable ID

Funny you should mention that, the last house we lived in before this, all the junction boxes had bare earth wires wrapped around them and twisted together. I never felt quite happy about it but as it was rented I left them alone.
