It all runs a lot smoother when you use a firm, problem with trying to run it with individual trades is getting them all in sync, they will all blame each other if there are any problems aswell. Where are you based?

Hi the reason the floor is not at the correct height is because the original extension was not set out correctly, now a 2nd storey has been added it now needs sorting, the floor will meet at a doorway and will be chipboard then carpet, so nothing visible. Any more information needed? Thanks

hi, I need to pack up some existing ceiling joists by 4" to meet with existing floor level on 1st floor. What is the best way of fixing 4x2 onto the 8x2s? Long screws straight down or can they just be toe nailed In place? Also would you run the 4x2 at 90 degrees to the existing joists or...

Hi all, looking for an extractor for site work and had been looking to get the festool midi, but now the fein dusted has caught my eye and looks good value. Has anyone used any of these or can recommend a different extractor?

Looking to pick up one of the above saws soon and wondering if anyone had used both and your opinions and if the festool is worth the extra £50 or so. would it be suitable for cutting/ripping timberboard? cheers.

I am in the process of building a timber framed summer house/office and need recommendations for the membrane. Am I right in saying it goes: P/board vapour barrier stud+insulation ply baton membrane cladding? Just looking for recommendations of what I can use as the membrane under the cladding.

Fix a corner post for the feather edge to run into, a piece of 3x2 or something.

Which would you guys recommend? Looking between the makita 5903 and hitachi c9u at the moment.
