Thanks for this info. Was going to replace the whole valve or call a plumber. Took the cap off tapped the top with a small hammer and it worked... :lol:

the radiator in the bedroom is leaking, I have got a new air valve as I thought that was the problem but on closer inspection the fitting has corroded. Can I patch it up or is it a new radiator I will need?
