    Thermostat and tubular heater

Breezer, yes I know I posted in the electric forum, but b-a-s suggested I also post in the heating forum as they may have more experience of thermostats. I've also spoke to a plumber friend this morning about it and he isn't sure the thermostat is suitable, but he told me to ask around some...

    Thermostat and tubular heater

Good morning everyone, would anyone be able to tell me if it's possible to use a Horstmann Centaurstat 1 thermostat with a 120W tubular heater? I'm trying to control the temperature in an avery and can't get it to work. The terminals are marked 1(L),2,3 and 4(N). Using heat resistant flex, so...

Thanks for your reply, b-a-s. It's a digital thermostat with the ability to have upto 5 different temperature ranges per day. I'll have to go back to it tomorrow and check everything with the meter. Ben

    Tubular Heater On Thermostat

Hi everyone, I wonder if you could answer a question for me please. Could a Philips Tubular Heater (60 or 120W) be used with a Programmable Room Stat? I have the TLC product codes if you need them. The heater is being used in an avery and I want to be able to have different settings for the...

    Does anybody know the answer?

I saw this once too, done by a sparky who seemed quite content to work with live meter tails! He just connected the meter tails into something like a 60A switch and then from the switch to a socket with T+E. I also saw him add a new shower CU to an old fusebox with the tails live. He really...

    Time Delay Switch Pneumatic

Just to say thanks to everyone for their advice. I fitted these 3 pneumatic switches today and they all worked just fine. I did wire them as 1 way in the end.

    4 gang 2 way switch in s/s

Try here quite a big range of switches there, in all finishes.

    Time Delay Switch Pneumatic

FWL, in my situation it's not an issue because there is a switch just inside the main entrance and then a switch outside each of the 2 doors to each flat, so wherever you enter the hallway from, a switch is right next to you. I guess it's a good point to keep in mind for other projects though.

    Time Delay Switch Pneumatic

Yeah, Breezer, I totally understand what you mean. My original message was about if it was possible for me to change the current 2 way wiring between the 3 lights into 1 way wiring by not connecting the yellow from the 3 core+E, leaving me with T+E throughout the circuit. Do you think that what...
