After being out all weekend I came back to a house full of gas, it stank. Called the company and they called their subcontractors back from stoke, I was not happy.
When they arrived they were really sirty, s aid they couldnt find a leak even though I saw him tighten a nut....will be...
ok thats what I thought, I will be speaking to the boss later to make sure the new one is on order and they have me booked in for asap....got a 10 week old in the house so hoping there is no cold snap this weekend!
From what Ii gather they are ordering a new part and coming next week, I just wondered if what he said was possible that "it may have fixed itself"?
We had the heating on for about 10 mins which is normally planty of time for the pressure to rise to 3.5. No water comes out the outlet so I...
Had a plumber come out today and he got at the pressure vessel then realized that the fittings were different (translated as I ordered the wrong one perhaps...).
He said we can use the CH and see if anything has fixed itself . We've had it on for a while now and the pressure hasn't risen...
thanks for the reply with the info, that may be beyond me so I've emailed a few local companies to see what they can do. The british gas one off fix costof £168 to supply and fit the needed part sounds a good deal to me.
ok, can you point me in the right direction as for instructions on how to do this?
Thanks for all your help guys, at least I know what the problem is now and can either enlist the Father in law to help me or a plumber to fix it!
Fair enough - any idea how much they cost to buy and for someone to fit, either to replace this knackered one or a remote one? Just a rough idea so we know what we are getting into
After reading the FAQ due to my Puma's pressure rising from 1 bar to over 3 when the CH comes on, then dropping again when it's off, I've discovered my PV is full of water. When it reached 3.5 on the dial in the red no water came from the boilers escape pipe outside though?
I pushed the...
Right an update - I´ve unplugged one of the yellow cables attached to the part you showed in the picture and the boiler now starts up and the warning light is off - we have hot water again! My wife will be so pleased!
Also Agile mentioned earlier:
¨The water inlet to it is probably blocked...
Thanks for the pic, as least I know which part to disconnect now!
As to the rest of what you said, you lost me after ¨Clean out....¨ ! As I said I am not anywhere near what you would even call ¨handy¨ with this sort of thing.
I will disconnect this part then report back and also do a bit...
Just looking at the puma manual posted here - http://www.partsarena.com/baxi/System/DATA/Dx/DS1/installation/2248/I04-2248/I04-2248.htm
I can´t find a part called a ¨low pressure switch¨, but there is a:
- Air Pressure Switch
- Water Flow Switch D.H.W (which I think is the one I am...
So to make sure I am looking at the correct item to remove a wire from - if you look at my first picture again, is it the item directly behind the PCB board (sort of below the piece of yellow/green tape in the pic)? It´s round and you can see about 4 screws on it in equal spaces around...
