doh - no pilot but the boiler wasn't lighting

Just come in from work tonight and went to run the hot tap - and nothing just cold water. CH also not heating the rad's. opened the front panel and the pilot gone out. The instructions to light (for a 28i) say turn on electric, then turn the temperature setting to max. Is this...
