Hi, I have an Ideal Isar HE24 Combi Boiler and it has started to make a lot of noise. Loud banging and loud clicking noises are coming from the boiler. It sound as though something is trying to click itself on. It still works, the radiators come on with plenty of heat and I get hot weater...

he wanted £175 for his friendship....he wasnt that much of a mate. not anymore he isnt anyway. Do you know if £175 is about the going rate to replace the motor.

I had a plumber mate around to look at it, he took it apart and the motor sounded like it was struggling. So have a feeling its bad news.

I am told the motor on my boiler needs changing. I had no hot water for a few days. A plumber friend had a look for me. should i buy a brand new motor or look for a second hand one, on ebay maybe? Can I change the motor myself easily. I have been quoted £175 for replacing the motor...
