    Vaillant Ecomax 824/2E Diverter Valve

You are right Rico, I shuld learn 2 spell! Changing the diverter valve doesn't involve gas so unlikely to blow yourself up in any case. I would suggest that there is a higher proportion of numpties within the plumbing industry than within the overall population.

    Vaillant Ecomax 824/2E Diverter Valve

These plumbers/heating engineers all want to make out that working on boilers is difficult. It isn't. Remember when you were at school the lads who couldn't cope left early and became plumbers. It always seems ridiculous that anyone is allowed to fix the breaks on their car, but only a...

Vaillant Ecomax Pro 28E leaking seal

Thanks for the replies. I have had another check today and it seems to leak when the boiler is at max output. I have adjusted the maximum down a bit to 20kw from 28kw. Would I be able to get a seal myself from a plumbers merchant easily? What do you think of my silicone idea?

Vaillant Ecomax Pro 28E leaking seal

I have a Vaillant Ecomax pro boiler. About two weeks ago there was a fault with it F11 - system board, so I took the cover off and replugged everything in again. I noticed that the combustion chamber was leaking what looks like steam at the bottom. Called the plumber who serviced the boiler...
