Check the pressure of the expansion vessel. Should be around 1 bar. Push in the needle of the schrader valve, if water comes out the vessel needs replacing.

The cold main should always feed straight to the boiler. Don't forget that all hot water and cold draw offs ultimately come off the main. work it out. Basic plumbing ;;; pressure and flow. It's not just about joining pipes. Call a professional.
The pump is sucking water in from the feed and pushing out of the vent. Move the pump to the other side of the pipes and reverse the feed and vent order.
If its not the cylinder or the boiler temp too high, then it must be the pump position. Where do the feed and vent pipes connect? Are they 150mm apart?
Could be cylinder coil. If the F/E is lower than main storage cistern and water comes from expansion vent when pump is off then its the cylinder.
Turn off supply to main cistern and see if level falls. I.E if the water coming out of expansion vent is coming from main cistern then it must be...
