    I wasnt going to use SWA Just SY cable that has an earthed metallic sheath (braid). Thinking about it though my islator is considered an accessory and so is the CU and thus is considered a safe cable route or zone so really I could use T&E in the wall so long as its RCD protected

    Thanks Col, let me explain further: The CU will be directly behind the isolator on the otherside of the wall. Also I was going to use a cable with an earthed metal sheath so it complys with 522.6.6 I will still solicon the isolator as you sugest. ok with that?

    Im mounting a Rotary Isolator on an external wall and the cable is coming through the wall straight into the back of the isolator . Im not using SWA and I don't want to fit a gland as it means knocking lumps out of the wall. Whats the best way to maintaian its IP... (silicone?) . Is this alowable?
