The previous owner of our house clearly had a novel way of getting their new oversized bed up the stairs. Any ideas on how I can make this look good with out replacing it? It’s solid as a rock so I don’t see the need to rip it out, I just want to disguise the join.

Good morning. I’m about to start laying laminate flooring in the kitchen. I understand I need to go under the cabinets so I’ll need to cut the plinths to allow for the extra height, but do I need to cut the side panels as well? Would a door trimming saw be the best tool for the job?

Hi, I have a 1930's mid terraced house. Every time I drill a hole in any of my walls I end up with a much larger hole as the plaster and the stuff behind it just crumbles. I usually get round it by drilling the hole, filling the larger hole with no-more nails and then pushing the screw-plug...

The fan isn't catching anything, the fan blade and shaft move about 3 or 4mm in and out. The noise is probably the wobbling of the fan. Would this be the bearing do you think?

I have a problem with my oven but I have no idea of the make or model. Does anyone here have the same looking fan oven? I need to order a new fan i think as its really noisy when switched on. My gas hob has "Diplomat" written on it so I asume thats the make but would love some more info...
