Thanks Guys, it was serviced just before he moved in. What do you have to do with fire? Does the pilot light (assuming thats what it is) under the fire have to be on to heat the water etc? Would he have to light the pilot light each time or will system ignite it automatically? Thanks

Thanks guys I couldn't see the wood for the trees. I have checked the consumer unit again and the bottom metal clip attaches to a plastic bar and the top clip which is also metal (but doesn't look like it my pic) attaches to what must be the busbar.

Thanks guys. The cable to the shower is 10mm, approx 9m in length and is currently on a 32 MCB (worked fine on the old less powerful shower). The Cable and current 32 MCB only serve the shower.

Thanks for the reply breezer. If I put the permanent live & neutral to the lighting loop can the switch live go to the switch for the shower :?:
