Is the Vaillant ecoTec Plus Combination Boiler suitable ??

BG have maintained our warm air system for the past 10 years and have been very good (although nothing has ever gone wrong) but I WOULD NEVER USE THEM TO INSTALL A NEW SYSTEM. They were not interested in what we actually wanted - they simply told us the boiler will HAVE to go here, we will run...

Is the Vaillant ecoTec Plus Combination Boiler suitable ??

Thanks for the info. Maybe I have this wrong - BG said we need to keep the cold water tank, hot water cylinder AND ADD A HEADER TANK - I assumed this is open vent system. So, the options are combi with just the boiler and no other tanks or sealed heat where we keep the hot water cylinder...

Do I need to change the whole heating system?

Hi and thanks for your advice. My question is really related to current regulations and whether a new boiler could be fitted to a return air duct that does not meet current regulations. You say that hot air is crap - our old house had a traditional wet system and this house has warm air - I...

Do I need to change the whole heating system?

We have a typical 70s style 4 bed detached house with a warm air system (Johnson & Starley J55-65). Every year BG service the system and give us a notice saying that the system is not compliant with current regulations - this is because the return air flow is now undersized (it measures 14" x 9"...
