    Is this subsidence?

Insurance always ask 'Has the property ever suffered with subsidence?' They could refuse if considered a major risk :(

    Amazon UK delivery problems?

The Gadget Centre (Plymouth) on facebook do a good deal on refurbished laptops. I bought a laptop last year at a great price for a high spec system - worth a look?

Thanks Ebee for your succinct response to my OP. You answered my query without being too technical. (y);)

    Police stop videos

Cant understand why the US don't have a roadside breath test similar to ours. They have to go through the laborious roadside 'stand on one leg, follow my finger. walk a straight line' process, often alongside busy interstate highways.

    Landlord/letting/finders/management fee question/advice.

Do you live in a university/college town? My son owns a couple of properties and only lets them out to students. That way, they only sign up to contracts covering the one academic year. It works very well for him as he is listed at the Uni as a preferred landlord and is always oversubscribed...

    Inundated with scam callers today

Have you made a purchase/subscription online recently? Online purchases often ask for a phone number and I would not be surprised if they passed your number on. I occasionally provide a discontinued number depending on the website used.

    Lights Causing Sockets Breaker Tripping

    Lights Causing Sockets Breaker Tripping

Hi All Today I replaced like for like x2 garden wall lights. I opened the lights breaker and confirmed by MM no 240v at the light fitting. Light fitting had twin live, twin neutral and single earth to a choc block. I disconnected everything as the original choc block was dirty so replaced with...

    Amazon UK delivery problems?

Amazon Delivery is contracted to 'deliver the item to the customer'. Leaving it on the doorstep is in breach of that contract and they will be liable for replacement if it is nicked. The only time the customer is liable is if they have specifically asked for it to be delivered to a 'safe place'...

    MS Flight Simulator

Thanks Robin - Next time it happens, I'll ask him to show me what the system is prompting him. It takes an age to re-load all the discs each time which suggests something is wrong.

    Israel under attack

Israel will not let them get even close to making a nuclear bomb. Their nuclear sites are already being considered as potential targets in a 'measured' retaliatory response.

    MS Flight Simulator

My son has MS Flight Simulator Deluxe and has successfully loaded the software and has spent many hours enjoying the simulator. I have noticed recently that he has to regularly re-load all the CDs to run the simulator. He has a MS account and the Simulator is showing as already downloaded, but...
