    Bendix 71388 doesn't stop filling up

    I have had my Bendix 71388 for over 15 years and the first fault happened today! The water doesn't shut off which causes it to overflow. I've unscrewed and cleaned the hose connections to no avail. Is the fix a) something I can do, or does it b) require an expert or c) mean the washing machine...

    Caused by blocked water inlet filters - easily fixed by washing them out. See post 3/3/08.

    Washing machine won't start

    I have a Bauknecht L04258009 washing machine which won't start any more. The mains light doesn't not come on and I have replaced the fuses and checked the door seal which seems tight. Anything else I can do before I call out an engineer?
