Cheers guys, thats been a great help. I had already tried the red circular tap in the airing cupboard and running off the water through the tap but it didn't seem to completely stop running. Maybe I just didn't leave it long enough. Will try again.

Hello My hot kitchen tap has stopped working and I think it is the washer. I want to unscrew the tap to take the washer out to get the size so that I can replace it. But, I don't know where the stop tap is for the hot water taps. I have one tank in the loft and one tank in the airing...
