Well I reattached it very tightly and the fire and the boiler are running right now and it all seems fine and the carbon monoxide alarm is not going off, please could you tell me what make/model boiler it is please I'm getting it replaced in the next 10 years

The fuse box is a brown wylex board with fuse wire fuses and there is also another small wylex box next to it with two circuit breakers and an rcd which is for the outside sockets and the garage, the whole wiring system is in very good condition as far as I can see and very tidy I might get it...

It's for a fluorescent light on the wall it has probably been there since the 50s it's used every day, I was just a bit concerned as I have never seen above the light before and I don't want it to fail and give someone an electric shock, will all the power cables in the house be like that?

Thanks, The battery is not very old at all however we have had the ELCB tripping at about 6 in the morning some mornings, there's a substation next to the house of that makes a difference and I can't think of anything coming on at that time, I am thinking it might be paranormal or a dodgy detector
