A long spirit level is the only way I can think of! Measure in all directions, and you should at least have an idea of which part is higher.

IMHO. you will need to screw down the boards as much as you can before laying substantial underlay before laying your laminate...if you get my drift, the better the underside, the better the top will look! You can get some nice thick underlay for laminate now, that should reduce the effect both...

Hi, am a newbie here, found the site by accident - it's really helpful. I would like to put in a light switch (main light on/off) and on the same switch have dimmer control for other lights in room - any idea if I can buy such a switch from anywhere? Have looked in B & Q and Ebay, usual good...
