Problem turned out to be a burnt out pump and a resultant burn out of some electrics ! Parts are under warranty but we still pay the call out charge !

Hi Just a general query.....there is a lot of talk about hybrid cars at the moment.... Can anyone tell me why is wouldn't make more sense to mate the electric engine to a diesel.....surely fuel economy / emissions would be improved. Am sure there must be other considerations ...

Thanks for the reply Am starting to see some worrying things myself.......There is a nasty vibration through the steering wheel, which i thought would be fixed by getting the alloy wheels balanced...no joy....in the space of about 4 secs, the vibration starts, increases and then goes...

or better still ( IMHO )....Skoda Octavia......same engine and components, better equipped and much much cheaper
