Thanks for the info. Are you meaning the black tap in the lower left? Turning it does seem to let the water through though. Would that not mean it's working ok?
We have a Baxi Ecoblue 16 Heat (tank, not a combi) boiler. We have found that if we bleed our radiators, the system will lose pressure and it's hit and miss if we can re-pressurise it. The last engineer we had out for a separate issue said the filling-loop is faulty (I'm going off my memory...
Thanks for your suggestion but unfortunately it didn't work. After a quarter turn it did sound like water was filling the system but the pressure gauge never moved. Water started coming out from the pipe that leads outside so I had to shut it off.
Aside from what you can see in the photo of the gauge above. The other end of the silver braided hose is the photo below. Is the black tap the valve you are referring to?
Thanks for your quick reply. How do I top the pressure? Sorry, I know very little about central heating systems.

Hi
Our boiler has stopped working and I was hoping someone might have a suggestion on what could be wrong. It's only just over a year old.
Boiler is a Baxi Ecoblue Advanced 16
Pump is an Embrass Eclipse Circulation 6 Metre - (no model number on the pump that I can see but this one is...
I appreciate that it's old tech and ideally could use a complete overhaul but is there absolutely no option where we could get another floor standing boiler and keep everything else as it is? Or even fit a wall mounted boil in the same space, if it's smaller it could be raised off the ground if...
Yes it's in the corner of the kitchen, one side of which faces the side of the house, there's a vent and an open flu.
Oh, I didn't realise, I searched for floor standing boilers and that came up in the results.
Our old boiler of near 30 years (Baxi FS 501 OF) has bit the dust. The heat exchanger has leaked, ruining the Burner assembly in the process. I have a limited budget so I consider trying to source replacement parts but putting aside the fact that a new boiler would be a better investment, the...
Just wanted to update on the outcome. In the end I felt the knowledge required to fault find was a bit beyond me so I called out an engineer from the company who fitted the alarm 16 years ago. Turns out the tamper switch had actually snapped off in the remote keypad and also the fuse for the...
Something I just thought of.. If the link wire on the SCB remove the tamper. How i do remove the link wire and close the box without the tamper being tripped again?
Ah ok, I'll give that a go tomorrow. I noticed there are unused wire links on 11-12, 13-14 and 15-16 so I'll use one of those in SCB. I can place it in situ with currently connected wires on SCB can't I? With the mains off of course! Thanks for your help, much appreciated (y)
On my diagram it says 25&26 are 13V. Can I use any piece of wire (I have some insulated wire from soldering a chip to a circuit board a few years back) for the link? A new battery is coming tomorrow so perhaps I should fit that first?
Yes it's my panel. I can see the link now you've said. That's odd then, why is the keypad locked out when everything is powered and the cover is back on? Could the fact that the battery has been removed be affecting it?
Hi all,
Newbie here but I was hoping some of you may be able to help me. I have an Accenta 8 Mini. A few years ago the keypad stopped working (number keys lit but no power other than that) but I never got around to fixing it. I thought I'd give it a go, I downloaded the manual, did some reading...
