I need to lift some 1960s narrow strip flooring without damaging it as we'd like to re-use it. It's tongue & grooved and blind nailed but not glued. I've got some up, but so far unable to not rip the lower edge of the groove off the boards. Any tips?

Richard, yes the sloping ceiling. The rafters are about 4".

You say he's a joiner? :shock: I'd always remove skirting before fitting wood/laminate flooring if at all possible, gives a much better finish IMO.

I'm looking to add insulation to our 1960s dormer bungalow and would like to know if there's any special considerations to be aware of for the sloping ceiling/roof section of the upstairs rooms? I'm looking to use the Knauf roll insulation stuff from B&Q, would this be suitable for 'stuffing'...
