I have a dead Technika LCD32 209, when power is applied the blue led comes on, press stanby button goes off then aft a few mins, blue led flashes, any idears.

I have a Sony KDL V40A12, its compleatly dead no stand by light, had a quick look with the meter, DC comeing out the bridge rec at the top of the power supply, some one suggested dry joints on the stand by tx, but it all looks ok, any ideas. ( Ex telly man)

Thanks, I can see the point, the inductance would vary depending on the thickness of the wire and its winding method but the DC resistance would obvesualy remain the same.

I know there different, but I thought if you knew the DC resistance there was then a method to calculate the XL at 50 Hz, and then from that you could calculate the inductance with the formula L = XL / 6.28f. But then I am not a kitchen fitter with part P

Can any one tell me the formula used to calculate the value of a single phase motor start cap, I know this involves the inductance value (L) of the coil, but if this is also not known, is there then a way to calculate the value of its inductance from its measured DC resistance ?

Has any one had experiance of Comets fixed price £99 repairs? I have a 42inch plasma with a Y Sus fault, it needs a replacement PCB, £99 sounds too good to be true to me.
