Architect changed our plans without our concent.

He has submitted one A1 page that cover planning and building regs. He only amended one dimension on the "proposed plan". The "Proposed Section" drawing shows the roof construction and is unchanged.

Architect changed our plans without our concent.

I had drawings done for a single storey rear extension. It was originally drawn at 3.6 M deep and the architect applied for planning permission on our behalf, saying it should be no problem. On the decision date, the drawing was amended by the architect to a 3M deep extension and approval...

Wipers on 03 Micra will not switch off

My wifes micra is doing the same thing. It seems to be a very common problem but I have not found a solution yet. It is a complicated setup. Basically, the stalk is connected to the body computer, which senses the switch has been turned. It sends a signal via the can bus to the Inteligent...

Ecotec 831 boiler heating rads when hot water is on.

I have now replaced the deverter valve which was very stiff and had been leaking a small ammount into where the actuator is. The new DV motor does not move. It seems to stay in the mid position and I have exactly the same fault. Do I now need to look at replacing the PCB? Thanks.

Ecotec 831 boiler heating rads when hot water is on.

As the itle says, my 3 year old Ecotec 831 boiler is heating the radiators when I turn on the hot water. I never noticed this in winter, but now the CH is off, the Rad's still get hot whenever I have a shower or use the hot water for a while. Has anyone seen this problem before? Thanks.

Fixing bad floor tiling. Any way to add support under tiles?

If that is the case, I think I will just grout them and when / if they crack, I will cut out the cracked tile and replace it.

Fixing bad floor tiling. Any way to add support under tiles?

A friend, who assured me he knew what he was doing, put down tiles on my kitchen floor and although they are neatly down, he used adhesive put in blobs on the tile, then put it on the floor. Needless to say, some tiles don't have much support under them and I cracked one by standing on it. The...

    Batteries

A word of warning: Recharging old lead/ acid batteries is very dangerous. They produce a nice mix of hydrogen and oxygen which can explode very easily (I have seen it done) and bits of battery and acid go everywhere. Always leave the battery outside when charging and switch the charger on/ off...

Is this wiring layout legal and the correct way to do it?

Thanks for the replies. This layout makes it much easier for cable routing, and I dont think I need to bother with trying to run a ring. If my 2 kids are drawing more than 20A in their bedrooms, I really wont be happy. One final question: I read that the total area should not exceed 50m2...

Is this wiring layout legal and the correct way to do it?

The 2 sockets on the right are actually the point of my main question. Why an FCU? It is all 2.5mm, with one 20A MCB. All sockets are in 2 bedrooms, in the loft, with the 2 on the right located on the dividing wall between the bedrooms, one on each side of the wall, opposite each other...
