Problem solved NEW pump. Unfortunately i was thrown of course since i replaced the pump in feb this year so wrongly assumed it was good and hearing noises and wierd things going on with the boiler started barking up the wrong tree. Thanks for your help

thanks for the advice guys i agree with you it may not be the boiler. i will start again with a new pump but how do i know if i have a blockage or bad circulation,

not functioning correctly temperature dosnt seem to modulate boiler fires up and after say 20 sec cuts out im guessing it looks like it ramps past its set point then it just cools down and repeats cycle hence its hardly ever on and cant heat the house. If i turn temp high im seeing a little...

ive looked at the pump seems ok and i flushed system all seemed clean water. Boiler also makes a kettling noise when temp rises above its set point then cuts out but with no fault code and will repeat this cycle when it cools to 30c hence not only long enough to provide enough energy to heat...

One of my 2 port valves got wet while i was changing the pump. There are 4 wires and the grey one seems now to be shorting to earth. I disconnected it and everything still seems to work, i presume all 4 wirs have afunctin, orange ones are the motor, what are the other 2

the boilker is a glowworrm 18hxi 18kw, think irts around 6 yrts old. The cylinder looks old. Its copper with just lagging wrapped around it, and the stat is similar to the one you have shown.

thanks for info, im also wondering whether the stat on the hot water cyclinder could be faulty because the water gets very hot and turning the stat i cant hear it clicking in and out hence would the valve to the cyclinder never close hence my problem?

I have an open vented system with 2 2port motorised valves. When both CH and HW are on the whole house rads cool down significantly.If i turn off HW then CH returns to hot pretty quickley. Is there a way to limit the HW through the hot water tank?
