Biasi M90E 32S Keeps Shutting Down

I appreciate all replies but I am struggling to come to terms with a PCB that works this way.Probably because a fair amount of our work is connected with error codes and led's,I am getting swayed a bit.I assume that the gas pressure is controlled by mechanical valves or is this where I am...

Biasi M90E 32S Keeps Shutting Down

Thanks for the reply Bob D.O.L.E.Just to reiterate,I have the two outer green flashing with the centre red led permanently on.Does this still relate to the temperature probe. Thanks John

Biasi M90E 32S Keeps Shutting Down

Boss let me nip home in my dinner hour! The duchess said she had been starting it about every hour via the on/off button. When I arrived, the flames were just about ready to extinguish.Isolated power.and removed the left hand cover ( not difficult no screws.they obviously couldn't get them in cos'...

Biasi M90E 32S Keeps Shutting Down

Many thanks for that Tony. Not a problem with the PCB.Probably tomorrow before I get back to you but you have given me hope.I had seen mention of the three LED's but only the left hand green was flashing so I presumed it was a factory pre-set similar to some of the equipment we work on.

Biasi M90E 32S Keeps Shutting Down

Just got a reply from the previous owner.6yrs old.Last serviced 3yrs ago.Not used much in winter due to holiday home in Spain.Never had a problem although mainly used for hot water but was sub let for 7 mths prior to our purchase.Has fitted Biasi in all her properties without problem and will...

Biasi M90E 32S Keeps Shutting Down

Thanks for all the replies. On a good day,I can run a bath (generally if heating hasn't been on).CH will fire up from cold and heat the whole house. After a while, sometimes 2 or 3hrs the flames slowly die and the boiler shuts down. What we have noticed is that while the flames are reducing,if we...

Biasi M90E 32S Keeps Shutting Down

3 yrs old and the boiler keeps shutting down.Have had 3 diagnosis so far but not conclusive.1/It's a Biasi-they are trouble! 2/Diverter valve 3/Not diverter valve it's your PCB. B.G. will come for a one off figure.Biasi not a problem but would recommend a service contract.I've been down this...

    No DHW

Another angle on the problem.I was putting the side covers back on and inadvertently (seriously) knocked the stepladders over and they hit the boiler(not hard enough to even dent the casing) and the bloody thing is working fine now.It seems that tapping the valve just vibrated something...

    No DHW

Thanks guys,I'm on nights this week so not a lot of time.It is just a single switch on the shunt valve but I have just noticed that after I tap the valve,if I listen to the fan outside the house it does increase in speed and volume when it ignites.

    No DHW

I have posted already on this subject but possibly I didn't explain fully. It is a Ravenheat 84ET and altho' I have fitted a new genuine Giannoni Diverter the problem remains.I can fire up on DHW but only if I tap the valve. This was also the case with the original valve. The sequence therfore is:-...

    Ravenheat RSF 84 ET

Just to clarify, we have been tapping the valve not the switch. I have just done an ohms test across the switch terminals(power off) and it reads OK on normally open but nothing on normally closed. My motor engineer brain suggests that in DHW, I will get a reading(N/open) so theoretically, I...

    Ravenheat RSF 84 ET

Have fitted relacement genuine diverter valve but still having problems. The original valve went kaput ( sticking) but a little tap like on the old BMC electric fuel pumps and it would fire up.Replacement is doing the same altho' not as responsive as the old unit. There is a 3 terminal switch...

    giannoni diverter valve

many thanks Chris.Any idea of an average price.I am getting quotes of between £40 ish' and £100 ish.

    giannoni diverter valve

Should I as a "competent diy'er" be able to purchase a diverter valve for a Ravenheat 84ET.Whilst I accept that it is a gas appliance,I am only fitting a diaphragm operated control valve on the water even though it is a means of sending a message to the gas valve. One company even states "If...

    No DHW- Ravenheat 84ET

Many thanks. As you say looks a tad fiddly but "dooable".
