May have had a eureka / you idiot moment when I discovered the plug was not pushed fully home in the cheapy 4-gang extension lead. Out toddler just loves spinning the dial on the washing machine which we try to make as boring as possible for him by unplugging it so the lights don't come on.

Just ran a 60 degree wash without the RCD tripping, this is going to be a pain!

Is there any reliable test I can do other than just try a replacement? I have no spares unfortunately.

Happening once or twice per wash cycle (bog standard 40 degree wash normally) Anyone come across this before?
