    temporarily turn of Visonic FireAlarm

Hi, I am thinking of getting a couple of the visonic wireless fire/heat/smoke detectors to add to my home alarm system... the question I have is, can you easily temporarily disable them? Unfortunately, the design of our house, and my mad cooking of stir fries and currys often trips my smoke...

    visonic powerlink2 and port forwarding

Hi, wasn't doing any serious tracing from my LAN, think you didn't read my post properly, I can make a router stand up and dance or do the dishes.. and when I looked with a sniffer on the mirrored port, I found, erm... that I had put the default gateway IP address as the Visonic address, thumbs...

    visonic powerlink2 and port forwarding

thanks, I just use the external IP from my LAN...so it's hitting the external address but it has to go out the router to do so which s a bit questionable as you are never sure how a firewall/router hadles the rule processing, port 443 is open on the firewall for sure as I have run other services...

    visonic powerlink2 and port forwarding

Not sure if anyone can help me on this - I installed a powerlink2 into my visonic powermax pro alarm last night, setup was simple, put a fixed IP address and gateway in and had the GUI up on my laptop in about 10 minutes. Then I want to try the Iphone app out and external access. Got the...

Hi, I have uploaded a picture of my shower trap. It is around 8 years old I'd guess, it's in the floor of my wet room shower. There is a part missing as you can see, the tube that would seal/lock in at the perimeter and extend down into the cup to create a trap. This is the way our...

    Bosch MAXX washing machine

i have replaced brushes now and it works perfectly. I have to tip it on it's side... but saying that, I've tipped it upside down more than 20 times in it's life for various things and I have never had a problem, it is working perfectly after new brushes. I don't know how you could do it with...

    replaced brushes... strange happenings

yep that was it... but pretty weird... I think that I had seen it cut before and just left it, the brushes were sub optimal at best, no tachy reading and the brushes running badly but it still washed clothes for the last 6 months? Well, I am a happy camper, just saved the cost of my holiday...

    replaced brushes... strange happenings

Hi, I have finally replaced the brushes in my Bosch Maxx washing machine, the old ones were down to nubs... things are not all well though. First off when I start a cycle, it fills with water and when the drum spins a couple of seconds, but faster than normal, it seems to start out much...

    Bosch MAXX washing machine

yeah, got a little mixed up.... don't need to turn the machine upside down for the drum motor... it was the drain motor and mech that I had to replace ad THAT requires the machine upside down as it's under the drum. I guess if you had room and laid on your stomach you might be able to do it on...

    Bosch MAXX washing machine

thank you, that's what I wanted to know... if the cheap ones work, I will get a set to try if the fault reoccurs to see it it remedies the problem and if it does, I can then spring for the real thing. If it still occurs, then I will have to think there is something wrong with the motor itself...

    Bosch MAXX washing machine

Yes not listening is almost as irritating as not reading. if the problem reoccurs, I will replace the brushes, it would be nice if someone with some knowledge could tell me what the difference, if any, between the brushes on ebay for £3 and the bosch £32 are... If I pull the brushes out, I...
