I have a small amount of mould in the bay window area on the wall in the corner by the window going up. I have noticed this morning because a small amount of water has been dripping and leaking down from the roof of the bay area of the window which I think is due to the driving heavy rain we...
Thanks. I will let the landlord know and see what he says as I don't know whether it will be something I have to do or that they pay for. It is a very old style victorian house. I do not believe it is moisture because it happened when there was no moisture in there and I hadn't run a bath or had...
My lightbulb in the bathroom light socket keeps flickering and dying. It has happened to a few bulbs now. It doesn't happen in the living room with the same type of light fixtures (as frequently).
Can anyone advise what the issue might be that always causes the light bulbs to flicker and die...
My Kitchen Sink has a tiny hole underneath at the side of where the plug goes and water leaks underneath.
What is the best way to seal this to stop the leak? What should I use?
Hi.
Does anyone know where I find those indoor door draft excluders for the sides of doors/door arches that are sort of a black felt type material and they are fairly thin in depth?
Got some foam draught excluders in the past but they're not very durable so was wanting to get the proper felt...
Just wondered if anyone can tell me if you can just connect a solar panel via a grid tie-in inverter to your electric supply or is it not possible to simply do this with all electric meters? Do you need to have a new meter installed to have a grid tie-in solar panel?
The meter I have I...
I've recently moved into a new flat and could do with getting an extractor fan put in as there isn't one at present in the bathroom just a vent above the shower which isn't very effective. Opening window & having heating on doesn't work too well in trying to get rid of steam from shower or bath...
What is the difference between C16 and C24 grade timber? And what exactly are C16 and C24 to start with? Is it to do with the finish or treatment the wood is put through?
Hello.
Can any recommend me any places where I can buy high quality softwood (eg spruce) cut to size online?
I have sent one quote off on the Avonply website. If you know of any others particularly ones you can buy onlines I'd appreciate it.

That sounds an interesting solution but if it doesn't have on and off's, my heating definietly wont come on outside of those times will it or if there is a fault with the device? Because I believe I would then need to leave the danfoss which would still be there in permanent on position for this...
Hello.
I need a new 7 day programmer to replace my Danfoss 103.
I am not totally understanding what kind I need to replace it with. Do I need to chose one that has the same number of wires? That is the part I don't get. I don't understand what the difference is between 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 wire...
Thanks guys! Yes it is a knob. I'm not too clued up with diy as I don't do enough of it that I should really. Yep pretty obvious I need a ¼" replacement - walked right into that one
Okay so handles are things that go up and down, and knobs are ones that twist or turn... just so I get...
I've got a really old inside door were the door handle broke and I need to get a new one. Do door handles come with different types of fittings or are they all standard? The metal bar I would need to screw a new handle onto seems to be about ¼" in size with a groove in it. It was a rubbish...
