    I went to b+q and got a tub of dulux trade vinyl matt for my mist coat, they just had magnolia and white in this do they also do the various colours in dulux trade vinyl matt (for desired paint) as i couldnt see any? 2nd coat is desired colour right? watered down by 15%? and same...

    thanks trotter, so would it just not makes sense then to get thin paint for the mist coat e.g some cheap brand.. then no need to water down if the vinly matt trade is really that thick? best place for dulux trade vinyl matt? b+q where they mix it for you? i cant wait to get started...

    i meant to say i had a brand new system fitted, there was no central heating in the house, its the standard thick pipes used new boiler is valliant ectoec 8310 or something along them lines, combi condensing il call someone in then thanks

    thanks, so just normal white matt emlusion watered down will suffice for the initial coat how do you measure how much water you are using when watering it down? :roll:

    no they are all at constant heat, 75% of the original heat i use to enjoy from them, all rads are also on max at the valves ! wonder why?

    my rads use to get so hot that you couldnt touch them for longer than a couple of secs even if that i have had a new boiler / cent heating install 2 years ago all with new pipes.. i have taken the air out of each one till water starts squirting out but im sure they can heat up more than they...

    when you say rub the walls down, pls can you explain? newbie at painting i heard its better to use a pva sealer rather than thinned emulsion for first coat? true?
