Would a product like Thomsons Water Seal not create a surface that will throw off any moisture quickly?

I put a 20 foot collar of scrap 1/2" copper pipes I had lying around around my chimney. The copper did seem to have an effect but for only about a 2 feet radius around. According to some sources zinc plated strips could be a better option, Have a look at there skylights in this article...

I'm sure its not slumped. But a check kerb only will just cause an even bigger pool & won't push the water out to the front of the dormer which I think is at least flat surely? Like this>

I had the same problem - radiator just stopped working. :x I tried connecting each pipe to see if the valves or radiator were faulty & the pipes never became hot. :roll: I simply fitted tee pieces to the in & out pipes to a radiator which was working well & it solved the problem. :) The joins...

My central heating pipes although lagged run throughout my basement which has the normal half dozen air vents which; I believe help it to breathe to prevent dry rot. My question is rather than these pipes basking in sub-zero temperatures through the winter ; can I block these vents temporarily...
