Can't offer technical advice but I have same boiler that is now showing same symptoms las yours - leak and lock out (now permanent). BG have been out several times and replaced various bits to no avail. Another visit scheduled tomorrow to replace heat exchange which is where the leak is coming...
Just thought I'd let you know I have a very similar problem with my Baxi 80 HE Plus. Several BG visits have seen a new pump, new PCB and new thermistor (whatever that is). Problem still exists so BG returning Thursday to replace Heat Exchange.
I'll let you know if this does the trick...
Core wires not exposed. Only way to find out would be to remove the terminal box cover (where the cable reappears).
Is it safe to do this. Not confident with electrics.
Pete
Hi
Valve is also a honeywell - looks similar to your pic - but no number to be seen.
So far new pump, PCB and a thermistor(I think thats what he called it).
Pete
Thanks for the interest.
System as follows:
Baxi 80 HE Plus 3-4 years old
Honeywell 6360B
BG branded prog / timer
14 rads all with trv's except bathroom
Y system judging by valve but no expert.

Sorry to everyone for the confusion. I thought a quick question on a current thread would be ok but it sort of grew!
Basically boiler lock out problems since fitting roomstat. Been ongoing for 5 weeks and 5 BG call out (should have been 6 but todays visit cancelled). Various parts replaced to...
Thanks for reply.
Fault is intermittant but only if controlled by stat. Don't have problem at all when set at max and only turned on /off by programmer.
Just checked stat wiring and from right to left as follows:
Brown
Empty
Black
Grey
Earth
This appears incorrect judging from...
Ok now realise that picure is correct but not able to compare it with my wiring at the moment. Just for arguments sake, if my stat is wrongly wired could this cause ignition / lock out problems?
Clutching at straws I know, but frustration setting in!
Excuse my interest in this thread. I have one of these stats and I'm having real problems.
Is it possible that incorrect wiring (as in pics above for example) could cause boiler lock out / ignition failures. I've only had the stat about 3 months which is when when all my problems started...
Huw
Sorry just noticed your question. System appears to be Y plan looking at valve. One additional snippet is that the bathroom rad (no trv) heats up when either (or both) CH or HW on. Looks like a common return pipe has been used for the final stretch down to boiler. Could this be a factor...
OK thanks. Sounds like I'm in it for the long haul with BG. I'll book another call out.
What was the reference to '16 visits boys' about? Did you have a similar experience.
Hi rojaca - thanks for the interest.
LED fault is "overheat". Last BG engineer changed PCB because of what he called pump overrun (or lack of it). From what you say this was always destined to fail?
Thanks for the replies.
I have altered some of the valves and only the bathroom towel rail remains fully open constantly. This is new and was fitted at the same time as the stat. Could this be relevant?
I have put 2 TRVs on max to see if this improves the situation and i'll update in 24...
Hi
Any advice on a (still) unresolved problem that has so far seen five BG service call outs, a replacement thermistor(?), a new pump and new PCB, would be greatly appreciated.
I recently had a roomstat fitted on advice of BG. Until then relied on timer and TRVs. Had no problem until then...
