lidl multi purposse saw parkside blades

A few inches is all I need it for, thanks. Basically I just need to use it once in a while to cut a floorboard to inspect beneath it, or to cut the skirting on a bath panel so I can open it.

could this be asbestos pipe lagging?

Asbestos pipe lagging in poor condition isnt perfectly safe even if you dont touch it.

    asbestos?

Yeah that's asbestos, and it was a bad idea to remove it yourself. Like others have said you will have contaminated the whole room, your clothes will be contaminated too.

    what is this material?

True, but doesnt it look pretty broken anyway? That edge is very ragged!

    what is this material?

Looks like fibreboard to me. Made from wood fibres. That's what it looks like in the photo anyway. I'm an asbestos surveyor and see stuff like that all the time. I'm not saying it doesnt contain asbestos though, just in case it does...

    cheap chisels

Can anyone recommend cheap chisels? I am an asbestos surveyor and go through chisels pretty fast, and I can never be bothered sharpening them.

    makita nicad vs Li-Ion

Li-ion will charge much faster, stores more charge so lasts longer between charge, and does not suffer memory effect.
