I have a bosch shv55m03gb integrated dishwasher that I got second hand with a kitchen. I have just put it in but as soon as you shut the door to start the cycle it trips the RCD. I have plugged it into a socket that is not RCD protected, however the dishwasher just makes a humming noise...

    McAlpine shower waste?

No problem. Ye i know my tray int going anywhere sat on a 15mm bed of sand and cement. That came from the McAlpine tec, support. There must be some reason for it as all the high flow wastes have an elbow on them too. I managed to fit it with the elbow anyway so dint have to go buy another adapter.

    McAlpine shower waste?

Got my trap in the post this morning. Afraid you cant just spin the nut off and move the compression seal as the outlet from the waste is a standard 1 1/2” waste outlet not a McAlpine multifit. Found out that the bend is there to help prevent the waste from cracking if there is any movement in...

Why does the shower wastes with the 50mm water seal exit with a 90 degree bend and can it be removed and replaced with a straight as I am limited on space next to the waste hole?

    Polyplumb Tap Connector Leaking?

Has any one had any trouble with the seal on the polyplumb tap connectors leaking? When you buy a ½” straight tap connector it has a taper seal or a flat seal you can use. But the 1\2” elbow and 3\4” tap connectors only have a tapered seal. I have been using a ¾” connector on my bath and...

    Boiler condensate trap?

I have just had a look online at the installation manual for their boiler. The boiler does have an internal trap. However, it also state that if the drain is terminating into a soil stack a 75mm trap should be added. Are you sure this is not the case for all boilers? I think i am just...

    Boiler condensate trap?

Just been reading up on waste water pipe regs, as about to install a new bathroom and it got me thinking. At my girlfriends parents house the condensate pipe from their boiler exits the house in 21.5mm pipe and then runs down the side in 32mm black waste pipe into the soil stack. However...

Grouting border with very tight gap?

I was hoping for at least 1mm gap to get the grout in, but to me it looks like these are touching each other. I have seen other borders that are like this in tile shops. Going to order a sample so i can have a proper look. I will be waterproofing behind the shower area but haven't decided...
